Frac stack
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001560
An assembly of high-pressure valves and fittings positioned above the wellhead during hydraulic fracturing operations, designed to control the flow and pressure of the fracturing fluid. It typically includes a frac head, master valves, and wing valves to direct fluid into the well and manage wellbore pressure. The components of a frac stack are engineered to handle extreme pressures and abrasive slurries.
