Goat head

A multi-outlet fitting mounted on top of the frac tree or frac stack that joins several high-pressure treating lines into a single bore leading to the well. Goat heads are made with four, five or six inlets and are rated for the 10,000 to 15,000 psi used in fracturing. It is also called a frac head and is a temporary fitting, unlike the permanent tubing head adapter.
