Fracturing mandrel
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001575
A tubular isolation sleeve seated and locked in the tubing spool of a wellhead during hydraulic fracturing. Fracturing fluid is pumped through its bore into the well, so the sleeve shields the spool, valves and other wellhead components from treating pressure and abrasive proppant. Pressure that leaks past its seals can be relieved through a spool outlet without removing the sleeve, and it is pulled after the job before the well goes on production.
