Landing nipple

A short, heavy-walled tubular component with an internal profile machined to accept and seal with specific downhole tools. It provides a consistent seating area for setting flow control devices, such as plugs, chokes, or safety valves, at a predetermined depth within the tubing string. Landing nipples are classified by their internal diameter and profile type.
