Particle-plugging apparatus

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002709

A laboratory device used to evaluate the ability of drilling fluid to seal permeable formations and prevent fluid loss. It typically consists of a cell that holds the fluid and a permeable disc or screen through which the fluid is forced under pressure. The apparatus measures the volume of fluid lost over time and the pressure required to maintain flow, simulating downhole conditions.
