Pickett plot
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002784
A cross-plot of resistivity versus porosity on a log-log scale, used to determine formation water resistivity (Rw) and the cementation exponent (m) in clean, water-saturated formations. The plot typically shows a linear trend for water-bearing zones, allowing for the identification of hydrocarbon-bearing intervals. It is a graphical solution to the Archie equation.
