Roll a tank

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003189

To agitate the oil in a storage tank by injecting gas, such as air or butane, through a roll line so that the contents are stirred and the tank bottoms stay clean. Some lease operators connect a bottle of butane to the tank with a 50-foot air hose to do it. The same job is also done by circulating the oil with a pump.
