Spotting

The process of strategically placing a specialized fluid, such as a spotting fluid, at a specific location within the wellbore. This technique is commonly employed to address issues like stuck pipe, to dissolve filter cake, or to treat lost circulation zones. The fluid is left in contact with the problem area for a designated time.
