A small, concentrated volume of drilling fluid with specific properties, pumped into the wellbore to address a particular problem or perform a specific function. Examples include lost circulation pills to seal fractures or spotting pills to free stuck pipe. These specialized fluid slugs are designed for temporary, localized effects.
