Free cooling

Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000141

A cooling method that uses naturally available low outdoor air or water temperatures to cool indoor spaces or process equipment, reducing the need for mechanical refrigeration. In semiconductor fabrication facilities, this technique can be applied to cool data centers, cleanrooms, or process water loops. Implementing free cooling can significantly lower energy consumption and operational costs for cooling systems.
