Heat recovery
Term · Semiconductors · MLC-T-SEM-000155
The capture and reuse of waste heat generated during manufacturing processes, which would otherwise be expelled into the environment. This reclaimed energy can preheat incoming process fluids, generate steam, or contribute to facility heating. Common methods include recuperators, regenerators, and heat pipes, which can achieve energy efficiency gains of 10% to 30% in industrial settings.
