Nesting
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000249
The strategic arrangement of multiple 3D models within the build volume of an additive manufacturing machine to maximize material usage and build efficiency. This process considers part geometry, support structure requirements, and machine constraints to fit as many components as possible into a single print job. Effective nesting can significantly reduce production time and material waste.
