Build area

The maximum printable surface of a 3D printer's build platform, defined by the extents of the X and Y axes. It represents the two-dimensional footprint within which a part or multiple parts can be placed for a single print job. The build area is a primary machine specification, expressed as a length by width measurement, such as 200 mm by 200 mm, and is a component of the total build volume.
