Polyvinyl alcohol

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000302

A water-soluble synthetic polymer primarily used as a support material in material extrusion additive manufacturing. PVA dissolves in water after printing, allowing for the creation of complex geometries with internal cavities or overhangs that would otherwise be difficult to produce. It is often paired with other thermoplastics like PLA or PETG.
