Dual extrusion
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000114
A feature on a fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer that incorporates two independent extruders, allowing for the simultaneous printing of two different materials or colors within a single build. This enables the creation of multi-material parts, such as objects with soluble support structures or components combining different functional properties. Dual extrusion expands the design possibilities and material versatility of FDM technology.
