Digital material
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000101
A composite material created by combining two or more distinct base materials at a voxel level within a 3D printer, allowing for localized control over material properties. This enables the fabrication of parts with spatially varying characteristics, such as different hardness, flexibility, or color, within a single print. Digital materials are typically produced using multi-material jetting technologies.
