Wire arc additive manufacturing

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000415

An additive manufacturing process that uses an electric arc as a heat source to melt and deposit metal wire feedstock, building up parts layer by layer. This technique is a form of directed energy deposition, offering high deposition rates and the ability to produce large metal components. It is commonly used for fabricating large-scale structures and repairs.
