Ablation threshold fluence
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012830
The minimum energy density of a laser pulse required to initiate measurable material removal from a surface. This value is specific to the material and the laser parameters, such as wavelength and pulse duration. Exceeding this fluence causes the material to vaporize or eject, forming a crater.
