Ablation efficiency

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000041

The ratio of the mass of material removed from a sample surface to the total energy deposited by a laser pulse during an ablation process. It quantifies how effectively the laser energy is converted into material removal. This parameter is often expressed in units of micrograms per joule (µg/J).
