Pulse energy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009672
The total energy contained within a single pulse of electromagnetic radiation, such as from a laser. It is calculated by integrating the instantaneous power of the pulse over its duration. This parameter is particularly relevant in pulsed laser applications, where it dictates the amount of energy delivered to a sample during a brief interaction.
