Antiparticle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000703
A subatomic particle that has the same mass as its corresponding particle but opposite electric charge and other quantum numbers. For example, the antiparticle of an electron is a positron, which has a positive charge. When a particle and its antiparticle meet, they undergo annihilation, converting their mass into energy.
