Isoelectric
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006179
Describing a state where a surface or colloidal particle has no net electric charge. This condition occurs at a specific pH value, known as the isoelectric point, where the positive and negative charges on the surface are perfectly balanced. At this point, the electrophoretic mobility of the particle is zero, meaning it will not migrate in an applied electric field.
