Ampholytic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000520
A polymer that contains both acidic and basic ionizable groups along its chain. These polymers can act as both polyacids and polybases depending on the pH of the surrounding medium. Polybetaines are a specific type of ampholytic polymer where both positive and negative charges are present on the same monomer unit.
