Polyelectrolyte
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009132
A polymer containing multiple ionizable groups along its chain, which can dissociate in a solvent to form charged sites. These polymers behave as electrolytes when dissolved, and their properties are highly dependent on pH and ionic strength. Polyelectrolytes are widely used in water treatment, drug delivery, and as superabsorbent materials.
