Polyacid
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009094
A polymer containing multiple acidic functional groups along its chain, capable of donating protons in solution. These groups can be carboxylic acids, sulfonic acids, or phosphoric acids. Polyacids exhibit polyelectrolyte behavior and are used in applications such as superabsorbent materials, ion-exchange resins, and drug delivery systems.
