Anionic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000614
A polyelectrolyte that carries a net negative charge due to the presence of anionic groups along its polymer backbone or as pendant groups. These polymers typically contain acidic functional groups, such as carboxylates or sulfonates, which can deprotonate in solution. Poly(acrylic acid) is a common example of an anionic polymer.
