Acrylic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000161
A polymer derived from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or their derivatives, such as esters, amides, or nitriles. These polymers are characterized by a carbon-carbon backbone with pendant ester, amide, or nitrile groups. Examples include poly(methyl methacrylate) and poly(acrylic acid), which are widely used in coatings, adhesives, and plastics due to their transparency and weather resistance.
