Vinylidene polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012581
A polymer formed by the addition polymerization of vinylidene monomers, which contain a carbon-carbon double bond with two substituents on one of the carbon atoms (CH2=CRR'). The repeating unit in the polymer chain has two identical or different substituents on the same carbon atom. Poly(vinylidene chloride) and poly(methyl methacrylate) are common examples.
