Reversible-deactivation anionic polymerization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010326
A controlled anionic polymerization method where the active anionic propagating species can reversibly interconvert with a dormant species. This dynamic equilibrium reduces the concentration of active species, thereby minimizing side reactions and allowing for the synthesis of polymers with controlled molecular weights and narrow dispersities. Examples include systems involving reversible association with counterions or specific complexing agents.
