Degenerative-transfer polymerization

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013022

A controlled polymerization technique where the active chain end undergoes a rapid and reversible transfer reaction with a dormant species, maintaining a low concentration of active propagating centers. This dynamic equilibrium between active and dormant states leads to polymers with narrow molecular weight distributions. It is a subset of reversible-deactivation polymerization methods.
