Degradability
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002928
The inherent susceptibility of a material, such as a polymer, to undergo degradation when exposed to specific environmental conditions. This property is determined by the chemical structure of the material and the nature of the degrading agents. It is often quantified by the rate and extent of mass loss or property change over time.
