Antinuclear antibody

An autoantibody that targets components within the nucleus of a cell. These antibodies are produced by the immune system and can bind to nuclear antigens such as DNA, RNA, and proteins. The presence of antinuclear antibodies is a hallmark of systemic autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus.
