Assay validation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000837
The process of establishing the performance characteristics and limitations of an analytical method, and the identification of influences that may change these characteristics. This involves assessing parameters such as accuracy, precision, specificity, detection limit, quantitation limit, linearity, range, and robustness. Validation confirms that the assay is suitable for its intended purpose.
