Calibration interval

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012940

The specified period of time or amount of use between successive calibrations of a measuring instrument or system. The interval is established to maintain confidence in the instrument's metrological characteristics and its fitness for purpose. This period is determined based on factors like manufacturer recommendations, historical performance data, required measurement uncertainty, and the frequency of use.
