Canonical structure representation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001593

A unique and standardized way of depicting a chemical structure, typically used in computational chemistry and databases. This representation allows for unambiguous identification and comparison of molecules, regardless of how they were initially drawn or described. It is generated by an algorithm that applies a consistent set of rules to assign atom and bond properties.
