Cumulative incidence
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002778
The proportion of a population initially free of a disease or condition that develops the disease or condition over a specified period. This measure represents the average risk of developing the outcome during that time frame. It is calculated by dividing the number of new cases by the number of individuals at risk at the beginning of the period.
