Cumulative fission yield
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002777
The total fraction of fissions that lead to the formation of a specific nuclide, either directly as a primary fission product or indirectly through the decay of its precursors in a fission product decay chain. This value accounts for all pathways leading to the final stable or long-lived product. It is a key parameter in nuclear fuel analysis and radioactive waste management.
