Fission yield
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004450
The fraction or percentage of fissions that result in the formation of a specific nuclide or a nuclide with a particular mass number. This value indicates the probability of a certain fission product being generated during nuclear fission. Fission yields are typically represented as a curve with two peaks, corresponding to light and heavy fission product groups.
