Elementary particle
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003805
A particle that is not known to have any substructure, meaning it is not composed of other, smaller particles. These particles are the fundamental constituents of matter and forces as described by the Standard Model of particle physics. Elementary particles are classified into fermions (quarks and leptons) and bosons (gauge bosons and the Higgs boson).
