Hazard index

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005123

A numerical value representing the sum of hazard quotients for multiple substances or multiple exposure pathways that affect the same target organ or system. It is used in risk assessment to evaluate the potential for adverse non-cancer health effects from combined exposures. A hazard index greater than one suggests a potential for concern.
