Hazard quotient
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005124
A ratio comparing the estimated exposure to a substance with a reference dose or concentration below which adverse effects are not expected. It is used to characterize non-cancer health risks from a single substance or exposure pathway. A hazard quotient less than or equal to one generally indicates that adverse effects are unlikely.
