Radiation hazard
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009826
The potential for harm to living organisms or the environment resulting from exposure to ionizing radiation. This risk depends on the type of radiation, its energy, the dose received, and the duration of exposure. Regulatory bodies establish dose limits to protect individuals from excessive radiation exposure.
