Risk quotient

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010387

A numerical value obtained by dividing the predicted environmental concentration (PEC) of a substance by its predicted no-effect concentration (PNEC). This ratio indicates the potential for adverse ecological effects. A risk quotient greater than one suggests that the substance may pose a risk to the environment.
