Estimated environmental concentration

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004102

A predicted concentration of a chemical substance in an environmental compartment, such as water, soil, or air, derived from modeling or extrapolation rather than direct measurement. This value is used in environmental risk assessments to estimate potential exposure of ecosystems and organisms to pollutants. It is often calculated based on release rates and environmental fate properties.
