Haze

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005127

An atmospheric condition characterized by reduced visibility due to the scattering of light by a suspension of very small, dry particles in the air. These particles are too small to be individually visible but collectively obscure distant objects. Haze is often caused by fine dust, smoke, or pollutants, and it differs from fog, which consists of water droplets.
