Coefficient of haze
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002170
A measure of the light-scattering and light-absorbing properties of airborne particulate matter, indicating the degree of atmospheric visibility impairment. It is determined by measuring the reduction in light transmission through a filter laden with collected aerosols. This coefficient is often used as an indicator of air pollution levels.
