Air pollution index

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000354

A numerical scale used to communicate the level of air pollution and its associated health risks to the public. It is calculated based on the concentrations of several common air pollutants, such as particulate matter, ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide. A higher index value indicates greater air pollution and potential health concerns.
