Air pollution tolerance index

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000356

A quantitative measure used to assess the relative tolerance of plant species to atmospheric pollutants. This index is calculated based on several biochemical parameters within plant leaves, such as ascorbic acid content, total chlorophyll, and relative water content. A higher index value indicates greater tolerance to air pollution.
