Immunotoxicology
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005716
The scientific discipline that investigates the adverse effects of chemical, biological, or physical agents on the immune system. This field studies how exposure to xenobiotics can lead to immune dysfunction, including immunosuppression, hypersensitivity, or autoimmunity. It combines principles of immunology and toxicology to assess risks to human and animal health.
