Behavioural toxicology
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001175
The scientific discipline that investigates the adverse effects of chemical substances on the nervous system, leading to changes in behavior, cognition, and motor function. It examines how exposure to toxicants can alter normal behavioral patterns, learning, memory, and sensory perception. This field often employs standardized behavioral tests in animal models to assess neurotoxicity.
